Bedfordview hosts Rotarians’ 50th anniversary celebrations

"Everyone who attended had a good time and enjoyed themselves."

2018 marked the 50th anniversary of the Johannesburg East Rotary Club.

To celebrate 50 years of service to the community, the club hosted a celebratory lunch.

The lunch was held on March 18.

Secretary and treasurer of the club Genie Wright said the celebrations went well.

Honorary Rotarian Derrick Willcock was the master of ceremonies at Johannesburg East Rotary Club’s 50th anniversary. With Derrick are former Rotarians Tjeerd Kuiken (back) Jannie Kuiken, Minze Steen and Sandra Steen.

“Everyone who attended had a good time and enjoyed themselves.”

She said Rotarians from Bedfordview, Edenvale and the Knights Pendragon clubs attended the celebration.
