The Sebenza Community Policing Forum (SCPF) has opened nominations to elect new members for the Sector 2 CPF committee.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had an interim Sector 2 CPF committee for more than six months in the area. The need to put up a permanent structure is inevitable. A nomination box has been placed at the Sebenza SAPS Customer Services Centre (CSC),” said CPF chairman Andrew Mosesi.
He said nomination forms are to be completed and deposited in the allocated box at the station.

Nominations will closed on April 29 at 3pm.
“The date, time and venue for the elections will be advised a week in advance. The existing Sector 2 CPF interim committee, the use of the CPF name, logos and so on will cease effectively on the date of the elections,” said Mosesi.
A new interim committee may be put in place in the event that the participants in the meeting are unable to elect the new committee.
“We guarantee a free and fair election process, with no conflict of interest. We urge all residents of Sector 2 over the age of 18 to participate in the nominations and to attend elections,” he said.
