UPDATE: #MacheteAttack increased security at Bedford Centre

The victim (45) sustained a head injury and is currently at Union Hospital in a stable condition.

Earlier today, Bedfordview Journalist, Miguel Abrahams visited Bedford Centre in an attempt to get more clarity on yesterday’s machete attack at the centre.

While no further information was forthcoming, the NEWS did notice additional security at the centre.

Yesterday the Bedfordview SAPS confirmed a man was attacked with a machete at the centre.

Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson, Capt André De Jager told the NEWS that the incident was a domestic dispute.

He also confirmed that the victim (45) sustained a head injury and is currently at Union Hospital in a stable condition.

The suspect (52) has not been formally charged.
