Glenoaks School kicked off its 67 Minutes of service in celebration of Mandela Day by making sandwiches.

For 67 minutes the children, with the help of teachers and therapists, made sandwiches.

Glenoaks School learners celebrate Mandela Day by making sandwiches for the less fortunate.

Each child took a sandwich home to share with someone in need.

“We wanted the children to understand why they were doing this and when done with making the sandwiches identify someone in need to give to.

“We hope this initiative continues to inspire our learners to keep giving back,” said teacher Tania Wattam.

It was a festive celebration where the learners learned the importance of giving back and doing a good deed.
