Malvern youngsters add their voice to petition against issuing of liquor licences

They wrote letters expressing their feelings against alcohol.

Malvern Primary School learners added their voice to the petition against the issuing of liquor licences in the area.

Malvern Care Team donated 900 rulers to the learners following the youngsters’ support of the team’s efforts to petition against the issuing of liquor licences.

“We wanted to give back to the community so our first thought was to build a good relationship with learners,” said member of the care team Nomvula Sidu.

Sidu told the EXPRESS the forum will be working closely with the learners in the future.

“The learners helped us when we started the petition against issuing of liquor licences. They wrote letters expressing their feelings against alcohol. So we saw it as a good opportunity to give them a small token of appreciation,” she said.
