
Jeppe SAPS arrested 68 suspects during crime prevention operations on various charges including 22 business robberies.
The police operations were conducted from November 2 to 4 in the Jeppe police precinct.
Arrests included:
• 22 suspects arrested for business robbery.
• 14 suspects arrested for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
• Six suspects arrested for common assault.
• Four suspects arrested for theft.
• Three suspects arrested for fraud.
• Three suspects arrested for drinking and driving.
• Two suspects arrested for attempted business robbery.
• Two suspects arrested for armed robbery.
• Two suspects arrested for malicious damage to property.
• Two suspects arrested for possession of suspected stolen goods.
• Two suspects arrested for dealing in dagga.
• Two suspects arrested for liquor.
• Two suspects arrested for dealing in drugs.
• One suspect arrested for possession of live ammunition.
• One suspect arrested for being an illegal immigrant.
