Conservation Society releases wall calendar for 2019

The Modderfontein Conservation Society’s highly popular wall calendar for 2019 has been released.

The new calendar has again been supported by AEL Mining Services and features a beautiful photograph of a Goliath heron flying majestically across Fish Eagle Dam in the Modderfontein Reserve.

The photo was taken by Thornhill Estate resident, Colin Parr, who recently retired and is devoting more time to his passion for nature photography.

He can often be found hauling his cameras and lenses around the reserve in the early morning light determined to capture nature at its best.

Colin Parr the photographer.

As a result, choosing the featured photo was described as a lengthy but very pleasurable task of viewing Colin’s short list of bird pictures.

The calendar retains the same format as in recent years, a wall calendar with a space for each date for noting appointments, making it not only visually attractive but also practical and useful.

Sales outlets for the calendars will be at Cartridgeworx and Post Link in the new Flamingo Shopping Centre in Modderfontein Village.
