Game ranger tales to be told at fund-raiser

“It will be quite an informative evening and anyone interested in becoming a game ranger should attend.”

Community members are invited to Hillside Community Methodist Church’s fund-raiser where they will get the opportunity to view a presentation by game ranger Chad Cocking.

Held at Nobel Primary School, the fund-raiser will see Chad speak about his experiences as a game ranger over the past 11 years.

“It will be quite an informative evening and anyone interested in becoming a game ranger should attend,” said Colin, Chad’s father and an organiser of the fund-raiser.

Colin said the funds raised on the evening will be divided between the school and the church.

This will be the church’s second fund-raiser involving Chad.

Two years ago, a similar presentation was held, which saw Chad speak specifically about photography.

“The previous fund-raiser went very well and was well supported,” said Colin.

The two-hour fund-raiser will be held on May 16 at Nobel Primary’s hall.

Entrance will cost R100 per person and will include light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
