EMPD issues over 100 fines during Edenvale and Clayville roadblocks

The EMPD conducted successful roadblocks in Edenvale and Clayville, stopping hundreds of vehicles and issuing more than 100 fines.

The EMPD Northern Region Precinct took decisive action on September 19, by setting up roadblocks in key areas of Edenvale and Clayville to enhance road safety and enforce traffic regulations.

The operations took place along Terrace Road and Paul Kruger Street in Edenvale, as well as the R562 and near Phumulani Mall in Clayville.

During the roadblocks, EMPD officers stopped and searched 270 vehicles. As a result, 109 traffic fines were issued.

The EMPD said the initiative aimed to improve road safety, enforce traffic regulations, and ensure compliance among motorists.

“These roadblocks are part of our ongoing efforts to maintain law and order on our roads and protect all road users,” said an EMPD spokesperson.

Motorists are urged to adhere to traffic laws to avoid penalties and contribute to safer roads throughout Ekurhuleni.
