Bedfordview shop raided after illegal dagga sales

Authorities arrested a man after discovering he was selling dagga illegally at a local shop, following a community tip-off.

Sector managers, along with Traffic and Crime Prevention Wardens, received a tip-off about a shop selling dagga while on routine duties on October 27.

Bedfordview SAPS communication liaison officer Sergeant Lillian Modiga said the shop was located at the Sunrise complex on North Reef Road, Bedfordview.

Modiga said upon arrival, they found a male selling dagga without a valid certificate, whom they arrested and detained at the Bedfordview SAPS for further investigation.

The police collected evidence at the crime scene.
