Resident of Casa Serena celebrates her 102nd birthday
Margaret sang soprano in the choir at St Theresa Church, where she was a longtime congregant.
Casa Serena resident Margaret Kester recently celebrated her 102nd birthday surrounded by friends and family.
Birthday celebrations were held on October 21, a day after her birthday, at the retirement home.
Margaret, a longtime resident of the area, was one of seven Kester children to attend Holy Rosary between the 1950s and 1970s.

Her family was part of the Catholic community in Edenvale.

Her musical talents included playing the piano
Other passions she had were ballroom dancing and yoga.
Margaret was one of the first members of the Edenvale yoga group in the 1960s.
Her sharp mind was kept active through her love of crossword puzzles, while her multilingual talents were tested as an interpreter in the Supreme Court.
Margaret has grandchildren and great-grandchildren living in SA, Europe and Australia.
