St Andrew’s learner scoops gold medal at championships

Loghan Gray, who performed at the World U19 Biathle Championships, secured three gold medals for South Africa.

St Andrew’s School for Girls’ Grade 11 learner, Loghan Gray, performed at the World U19 Biathle Championships, bringing home three gold medals for South Africa.

“Competing in a gruelling event that included a 1 600m run, 200m swim, and a 1 600m beach run, Loghan and her relay partner clinched gold in the U19 mixed relay.

“In the individual U19 division, she triumphed once again, securing another gold ahead of Kazakhstan and Hungary,” said school marketer, Brandon Townsend.

Gray also won gold in the U19 team competition for the highest points score.

“Loghan’s achievements are exemplary, and she has a golden future of athletic performances ahead of her. She has made her school and her country incredibly proud!” stated Townsend.
