Edenglen High donates to Greendale House Palliative and Hospice Care
Staff members at Greendale House Palliative and Hospice Care shared their time and provided learners with an informative discussion on the hospice's role in palliative care.
Several learners from Edenglen High School’s community outreach programme spread smiles when they visited Greendale House Palliative and Hospice Care.
On February 27, the learners delivered much-needed items and gained invaluable insight into the vital work performed there.
More than a delivery, Edenglen High School’s PR and marketing coordinator Itumeleng Gwangwa said the visit proved to be an educational and moving experience.

Staff members at Greendale Hospice shared their time by providing the learners with an informative talk about the daily operations and the role the Hospice plays in providing palliative care and support to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses.
The learners left Greendale Hospice with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper appreciation for the support of those in need.
Gwangwa said the visit was a valuable lesson in compassion, empathy, and community engagement.
The school thanked the staff of Greendale Hospice for welcoming the learners and sharing valuable insight.
