Edenvale seniors celebrate St Patrick’s Day
The themed lunches are arranged monthly to help raise funds for ESCS.
Dressed in green guests and members of the Edenvale Senior Citizens Society came together for a St Patrick’s Day-themed lunch.
Described as a success by ESCS committee member Linda Ranwell, the March 19 lunch saw most of the attendees dress up in green keeping in theme with the lunch.
The lunch was hosted at Edenvale Community Centre.

The 60 guests who attended were served a three-course meal including Irish stew and other Irish dishes.
Linda explained that the themed lunches are arranged monthly to help raise funds for ESCS.
Besides hosting monthly lunches to raise funds, ESCS also hosts morning markets three times a year.
At the market, community members can find a variety of bargains.
Vendors sell clothes, books, kitchenware, bed linen, DVDs, CDs and more.
Curry and rice, bacon rolls, tea, coffee and cold drinks are available to keep community members fueled up.
The next market will be held on April 5 at the Edenvale Community Centre from 08:30 to 13:00.
