Explorers revel in stories told at Melville Koppies

With many smiling and happy faces its a clear sign that visitors and hikers enjoy spending time experiencing the Koppies.

Stories and guided hikes are some of the treasures guests can find when they visit the Melville Koppies.

The second Sunday of the month is scheduled for storytelling while the last Sunday is when the 8km guided hike is hosted.

Both events continue to attract visitors to the Koppies.

The last Sunday of the month is when the 8km guided hike is hosted.

The Koppies are open every Sunday morning between 08:00 to 11:30.

Alternatively visitors can embark on a self-guided hike ranging from 500m to 5km.

It will cost visitors R100 per person, R50 for those under 18. Entry is free for those under five.

Safe parking is available opposite the entrance to Melville Koppies at Marks Park Sports Club in Judith Road, Emmarentia.

All income is used for conservation of the Koppies.
