Tyla Seethal, Edenglen High alumna, scores second Grammy for African music
From Gauteng to the world stage, Tyla Seethal secures her second Grammy in the best African music category.
SA singer, songwriter and former Edenglen High School learner Tyla Seethal again made international headlines when she won her second Grammy.
The 24-year-old tasted victory at the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 1 with her song Push 2 Start.
Tyla won in the best African music performance category, beating artists Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Davido and Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo.

In 2024, she won her first golden gramophone for her popular song Water. Her victory in the same category saw her become the youngest South African to win a Grammy.
