PANOS COULOUBIS: A school should define bullying and anti-bullying initiatives in their code of conduct. Then share links online for people to anonymously report bullying. In this way, people will have a voice and contribute to combating bullying without being confrontational to the perpetrator.NIKITA PAIZIS: Teachers should never brush bullying off as something small. They should always raise it with the school, which should investigate the situation further. When they conclude investigations, they should get help from a psychologist for both parties.HLELOLWENKOSI DUBAZANA: Bullying should be a thing that everyone is aware of because it happens in different ways, and not a lot of people notice it. As learners, we should be able to help our peers navigate through a cycle of bullying. Quicker intervention by the school should happen.KIRAN IYER: Bullying should be reported to an adult or teacher instead of being silent about it because that’s when things spiral. Schools should implement programmes or talks to create an open environment that is safe and cohesive, where people can voice incidents of bullying.EVELYN DAVIS: I believe schools should implement a lot of mental health programmes so that learners learn how to deal with bullying and manage their mental health better. The programmes can also help bullies deal with their emotions and reduce the amount of bullying in their surroundings.
