We asked learners to share their opinion on how they spend their free time to ensure a balanced life, especially as they are in their final year of school.

Matriculants from Holy Rosary High School for Girls in Edenvale were asked to share their opinion on how they spend their free time to ensure a balanced life, especially as they are in their final year of school.

Siyanda Thabede:
“I do not get a lot of free time due to my involvement in academics, cultural and service activities. When I do get some time to just breathe, I try to spend it with my friends by squeezing in movie time. It is also important that I get some “me time”, whether it be reading or just taking a nap.”
Evagelia Nichas:
“I have minimal spare time. I love playing the piano to de-stress. I also like going out with friends and spending time with my big Greek family.”
Reabetswe Marikela:
“I usually read in my spare time or I play one of my musical instruments.
I also have a colouring book with patterns. When I’m stressed or nervous, I colour in as a form of meditation.”
Chelsea Pelobello:
“I listen to music that calms me. I try to squeeze in a nap here and there.”
