#IMadeMyMark: What’s on your mind?

Will you vote for a better SA or would you rather move out of the country for a better future?

The young community members of Edenvale were asked whether they will consider voting for a better South Africa or whether they were considering to rather move out of the country in the future.

Thobile Precious Khoza:
“I will definitely vote for a better South Africa. I will keep voting until our country is governed by a woman. In my opinion, that’s the only way our country will be better.”
Bogike Rakua:
“Our country is a much better place to live in now than it was in 1994. And this was made possible through voting. As a member of the youth, I will continue to vote for a better South Africa. If I were to move to another country, I would be running away from my country’s problems.”
Keneilwe Thloiwa:
“This year I will vote so that my child could have a better future. It’s actually saddening to see that not a lot of young people are not going to vote. Moving away is not an option. I grew up here and I’d also like my child to grow up in South Africa.”
Sbusiso Ndlovu:
“I will not be going anywhere. South Africa is a beautiful country with many people and diverse cultures. I will vote in the upcoming elections for a better South Africa.”
Lira Radebe:
“I would rather move to another country, honestly. In South Africa, we don’t have many opportunities and I don’t really think my vote will make any difference. So as soon as I get my finances in order, I am definitely moving away.”
Thapelo Masilo said, “I’m pleased with the decision of South African music being played more. I feel it’s overdue but better late than never. This decision will expose listeners to more diverse music. South Africa has a lot of talent to offer.”
