Editor – We give Alison van der Molen, councillor of ward 118, a vote of confidence and shout of thanks.
Clr Van der Molen visits the St Giles Home in Dewetshof regularly to ascertain needs.
She ensured that our disabled residents will not miss out on voting this year and dropped off forms requesting that Independent Electoral Commission registration officials visit us at the St Giles Home.
Clr Van der Molen also co-ordinates with the various officials concerned to ensure that the park across the road from us is cleared and cleaned up.
Those are just two examples of assistance. This is a huge cause for concern for us, as our residents are extremely vulnerable. We believe that Clr Van der Molen needs the recognition earned when there is so much naming and blaming going on around us. Thanks to your newspaper as well, which has always supported us in our various fund raising and newsworthy activities.
