We’re hoping to have a good start,” said the club’s president, Aneline Butler.
“The league will be divided into Major A, B and then reserves. Reserves is more like a social league, so we’re hoping to have a team in Major A and B. And also a team in reserves,” she explained.
It’s not just the man getting in on the action, there’s also a push to build up a full ladies’ team.
“At the moment we don’t have a full side, but there is a ladies’ team, and we want female players to come on board.”

“They’re most welcome to join our winter league, because it’s more social, it’s more relaxed, and they can have a little bit more time to settle in,” said Butler.
The league will run from May through August.
“I’m always taking players. Two new players signed up, including one who hadn’t played in a while. We’re about having fun and giving everyone a chance to play.”
