Baseball league games played in Edenvale

“The day went well with the committee working together,”

Baseball fun was the order of the day when players of various ages and surrounding areas flocked to Edenvale to compete in league games.

The games were hosted on February 9 at the Giants and Imps Baseball Club home grounds at Edenvale Sports Grounds.

Scheduled on a rotating format, president of the Giants and Imps Baseball Club Aneline Butler explained that it was Edenvale’s turn to host the games.

Eight diamonds were used to host the games and clubs such as Benoni Northerns Indians Baseball Club, Boksburg Cardinals Baseball, Vaal Dodgers Baseball Club, Giants and Imps Baseball Club as well as Palm Ridge Baseball Club.
Age groups which participated in the games included, U10, U12, U15

“The day went well with the committee working together,” said Butler.

She said the day started with committee members and parents setting up the diamonds and progressed into an enjoyable day for all.

Results of the day include:

• U10 Imps Edenvale 16 vs Chinooks Benoni 15.
• U12 Imps Edenvale 2 vs cardinals boksburg 17.
• U15a Imps edenvale 2 vs Alex Alexandra 13.
• U15B Imps Edenvale 14 vs Palm ridge Alberton 6.
