Panthers surge to top of league after seventh unbeaten game

The Panthers Rugby Club secured a crucial 30–17 victory against Vanderbijlpark, placing them at the top of the log with 32 points. The two teams clashed at the Panthers home grounds on June 28. Panthers beat Vanderbijlpark 30-17.

Beating Vanderbijlpark was an important step for the Panthers as it took them to the top of the league.

Club chairperson Ernie Enslin said the victory followed their recent success against Kathlehong, where the Panthers won 40–12.

“We have played seven games, won six and drawn one,” said Enslin.

Men of the match have been Theuns Goosen (game one), Martin Loots and Rebone Kai (game two), Lucky Senomadi (game three), Carl Hendrics (game four), David Khoiti (game five), Sibu Nyaniso and Rebone Kai (game six), and Dylan Stephens (game seven).

The Panthers played Delmas in an away game on July 5.
