Young martial artist Malaika Ranthete shines at MASA national championships

St Andrew’s School for Girls celebrated the outstanding achievements of Malaika Ranthete, who recently competed in the National Martial Arts South African (MASA) Championships.

Malaika took part in the Tang Soo Do division and competed in the 13–15 age group for red belts.

She delivered wonderful performances across multiple disciplines.

First place in traditional weapons form (Hyungs)

Second place in traditional open hand form (Hyungs)

Third place in semi-contact sparring

Malaika is also an active member of the St Andrew’s hockey team.
