“It was especially wonderful to see some of our Old Boys join the day, a heartening reminder that the bond with Bennies remains strong.

“Many reconnected and shared memories at the Old Boys and St Benedict’s hole, which made the day even more memorable,” she said.
She added that the event also had a meaningful purpose beyond sport. A portion of the proceeds will support Assumpta Primary Catholic School, a school St Benedict’s is proud to assist, ensuring the day’s impact extends far beyond their own school.
Motsabi said the day concluded with a lively and joyful dinner hosted by the head of Athletics and Olympian, Geraldine Pillay.
Albert Spalding, dealer principal of Mercedes-Benz and Multi Franchise Bedfordview, delivered a heartfelt address, reflecting on the spirit of the day and the importance of community.
The room was filled with laughter, animated conversation, and the excitement of prize-giving, as golfers shared stories from the course and celebrated each other’s achievements.
Motsabi said it was a warm and memorable evening, perfectly capturing the friendships and connections that make the school community so special.
“We are deeply grateful to our parents, whose support strengthens the school community, and to all our golfersand participants, whose enthusiasm and sportsmanship made this day a resounding success. Our sincere thanks to our sponsors, without whom the day would not have been possible.”
