Young acrobatic gymnasts claim triple gold at SA championships
The talented Level 12 Women’s Trio from Masters Gymnastics Club has won three gold medals and a silver at the national championships, earning their third consecutive South African title and advancing closer to next year’s World Age Group Championships.
Acrobatic gymnast trio from Masters Gymnastics Club, Mackenzie Mackay (14), Dené Greyvenstein (12), and Bailey Maré (10), have once again proven their dominance in South African acrobatic gymnastics.
The gymnasts recently competed at the national championships, representing Gauteng in the Acrobatic Women’s Trio Level 12 category.
The trio delivered performances that earned them three gold medals and one silver, ultimately being crowned South African Champions for the third consecutive year.

Their victory follows an exceptional season, highlighted by impressive international success earlier in July, when they competed in their first-ever international competition and showcased their skill and composure on a global stage.
These achievements continue to demonstrate the high standard of acrobatics training and teamwork fostered at Masters Gymnastics Club in Highway Gardens.
Adding to their list of accomplishments, Mackay, Greyvenstein, and Maré have also completed the first of two qualification trials for the upcoming World Age Group Championships, to be held in Italy next year.

Should they qualify, they will join other South African gymnasts representing the nation at one of the most prestigious competitions in acrobatic gymnastics.
None of this would be possible without the expertise of the coaches at Masters Gymnastics Club and the support of the Ekurhuleni Department of Sport.
