Two Gauteng juniors share top honours in BSI medal tournament
Royal Johannesburg’s East Course saw a tight contest as Olfsen and Masuku ended the 18-hole medal on equal scores.
Congratulations to Connor Olfsen and Mongiwetfu Masuku on sharing top honours in the BSI (Balderstone Sports Institute) Junior Academy 18-hole medal.
BSI head of marketing Roger King said the match was played at the Royal Johannesburg, East Course, with both golfers carding a solid two-over-par 74 on November 20.

“Mongi’s fourth win of the year comes at the perfect moment as he builds momentum ahead of the BSI End of Cycle Four Junior Academy 72-hole Championship, where he will aim to successfully defend his title,” said King.
He added that Connor’s impressive consistency continues. He all but secured the Order of Merit, aiming to add his name to the trophy, though the Cycle Four Championship still awaits.
King said, “Well done to both players as they push to finish an outstanding year on a high.”
