Wasps Rugby Club moves to Sandringham High for 2026 season
The club relocates, promotes its senior team, and opens trials for U19 to first-team players ahead of the new season.
Wasps Rugby Club is entering a new phase in its history, marked by a move to new home grounds, promotion of its senior team, and renewed leadership ahead of the 2026 season.
The club has officially moved its home base to Sandringham High School, a development that signals growth and long-term vision for the club.
The new venue will host training sessions, home fixtures, and club events, providing a strong platform for player development and community engagement.

Following a strong and exciting 2025 season, the Wasps senior team was promoted to the Golden Lions Rugby Union Grand Challenge for the 2026 season.
This achievement places the club among the region’s top amateur rugby competitors and raises the standard across all senior structures.
To prepare for the challenges of Grand Challenge rugby, the club has opened player recruitment across all levels, including U19, U21, third team, second team, and first team.
Open trials will be hosted on February 28 at Sandringham High School, with the club encouraging committed and ambitious players to attend.

The club’s head coach, Gareth Stein, expressed his excitement about the journey ahead. He said, “This is a massive step for Wasps Rugby Club.
“The move to Sandringham High School and promotion to the Grand Challenge create an environment where players can really test themselves. I’m excited about the squad we’re building and the rugby we aim to play in 2026.”
Newly elected chairperson Ashley Boyce also shared his enthusiasm as he steps into his role.
“I’m eager to get started with the season and build on the momentum the club has created,” Boyce said.
“We welcome anyone willing to partner with Wasps Rugby Club. This is a fantastic opportunity for brands to gain exposure while supporting a club that’s growing, ambitious, and deeply rooted in its community.”
