The trio’s selection places them among the country’s top acrobatic gymnasts, joining an elite group that includes another trio from the Western Cape in the 12–18 age category, a 13 –19 trio from Johannesburg, and a senior mixed pair from the East Rand.

The trio’s accomplishment reflects not only their dedication and talent but also the high standard of coaching and development at the Masters Gymnastics Club.

As part of their preparation for the international event, the trio will compete in Kazakhstan in June.

This international competition will provide invaluable exposure, allowing them to test their routines against some of the world’s most advanced gymnasts.

They will also gain critical competitive experience ahead of the long-awaited Acrobatic Gymnastics World Youth Competition, which they have been preparing for for the past three years.

With their sights firmly set on Kazakhstan and Italy, Maré, Gryvensteyn, and Mackay continue to train with determination and focus under the watchful eyes of their coaches, Dmitry and Yuri Demianenko, proudly representing both their club and South Africa as they prepare to take on the world.
