Rebels beat Tool Saders

The Tool Saders secured a score of 108 runs for six wickets after 20 overs.

The Bedfordview Rebels climbed further up the division two log of the Last Man Stands (LMS) tournament when they defeated the Tool Saders by a single wicket.

The match, umpired by Marshall Nyangano, took place at Jeppe Quondom on Sunday, June 1.

The Tool Saders elected to bat first and were quickly off the mark after some fine batting from batsmen Robert Pettit and Coenraad Klynhans. Pettit made 16 runs from 14 balls and Klynhans made 20 runs from 15 balls.

The Tool Saders secured a score of 108 runs for six wickets after 20 overs.

The Bedfordview Rebels took to the field and they did not take long in getting underway with proceedings. Opening batsman Warron Openshaw, displayed a man of the match performance by making 85 runs from 60 balls. Michael Lowe managed to make five runs from the 11 balls he faced.

The Bedfordview Rebels ended proceedings with a score of 117 runs for the loss of seven wickets after 18 overs, clinching the match by one wicket.
