Red Romans defeat Old School 2

The Red Romans faced Old School 2 at Dawnview High School in the Division 2 league of LMS on Sunday, November 2.
Bedfordview LMS attracts players from around Gauteng, including areas in Johannesburg East.
Old School 2 batted first and set up a score of 117 in 20 overs for the loss of only five wickets.
The top scoring batsman for Old School 2 was Ryno C who managed to smash 42 runs not out, off 53 balls.
Fellow Old School 2 player, Deon Dreyer, scored 20 runs off 10 balls before he was bowled out. Tash Moodley scored 18 runs off 17 balls before he was also bowled out.
In reply to the score set up by Old School 2, the Red Romans reached 118 for the loss of five wickets in 19.1 overs to take home the win.
The top scoring batman for the Romans was Malcolm Gower, who scored 39 runs off 36 balls to end with a strike rate of 108 before he was bowled out.
He was followed by Brett Kree who scored 35 runs of 34 balls before he was also bowled out.
Old School 2 bowlers Deon Dreyer, Devin McNamee and Tash Moodley each took one wicket.
