Jarryd said it is an honour to be selected to play with an exceptional group of teammates and coaches.
“I look forward to representing my country against the best u-18 baseball teams in the world.”
Jarryd’s parents, Sandy and Craig White, said they are extremely proud of Jarryd, who had achieved his childhood dream through sheer hard work and determination.

“We wish the players and coaches every success at the u-18 Baseball World Cup in South Korea. “
Regan, who has been playing for them since he was five years old, said baseball is his number-one priority and first love.
“I played with a bat and ball since I started walking and haven’t put them down since.
“Baseball isn’t just a sport on a field; it’s about close friendships, new family and it teaches you so much of life off the field too.
“It has been my dream to represent South Africa in baseball, and this year my dream has come true. It is such an honour.”

David and Javy Panzenberger, Regan’s parents, found it hard to express how proud they were.
“It’s hard to put into words as to how proud of Regan we are,” said David.
“He was a very little boy when he started playing baseball and it has always been the most important sport for him.
“When they go to the world cup they will be competing against the USA and other top countries, a goal that these boys have worked very hard towards,” said Javy.
All the best to the boys and coaches who will be flying the South African flag in Korea soon.
