The annual Balderstone Sports Institute Team Challenge once again delivered drama, passion, and unforgettable sporting theatre.
According to the institute’s head of marketing, Roger King, this year’s showdown went right down to the wire, with the final putt deciding the fate of the trophy.
The PGA second years emerged victorious by the smallest of margins, showing composure under immense pressure to claim the crown.

The second years and juniors matched each other point for point, both finishing on 2½ team points after a nail-biting final day which saw them halve against each other.
King said the razor-thin margins proved just how competitive and evenly matched the teams were, with the PGA second years claiming the victory on better individual points difference.
Yet, while the scoreboard crowned champions, King said the true spirit of the challenge shone through: every player walked away a winner.
“The competition, camaraderie, and memories forged in this Ryder Cup-style battle have become a key part of the BSI experience and the BSI difference,” said King.
