Everything tennis at the Jeppe Quondam Tennis Club
Jeppe Quondam Tennis Club adds two new features to the club.
The Jeppe Quondam Tennis Club welcomed new features to the club including Teddy Tennis.
Bill Basterfield, Jeppe Quondam Tennis chairperson, said that the tennis section is fortunate to have the support of the Jeppe Quondam president Bob Huntington and treasurer Andrew Browne to better tennis at the club.
Bill said the tennis section plays in championships and social tennis.
“Saturday tennis is more social, while Sunday tennis is competitive,” said Bill.

Bill said the club has had an influx of 32 members that play every Sunday; this includes 24 men and eight women.
He added that the total number of women in the club is 20.
“We are very lucky to have 20 women being part of our club. Most tennis clubs find it difficult to achieve this,” said Bill.
He added the club play in three to four leagues a year, such as the Gauteng Central League.
“The Gauteng Central League is where we compete against other tennis clubs,” said Bill.

The men and women of the club will play in upcoming championships beginning August 17 and 18 for a duration of five weeks.
Jason Stoltenkamp has been the resident tennis coach at the club for eight years.
“Jason has done a lot for the club. He gives so much to the tennis section and brings new features to the club,” said Bill.
Jason is also the founder of Stoltenkamp Tennis Academy, which offers a full-time tennis fitness coach, Warren Kuhn, along with four other coaches and offers private lessons for all ages and also run high performance squads daily.
He said the Teddy Tennis centre has been open from July 1 and offers training which incorporates music and fun for younger children.
