Booth spoke about his career experience, the highlights and the struggles and what he learnt along the way.

The Balderstone Sports Institute (BSI) recently hosted former Bafana Bafana player Matthew Booth for a motivational talk.
The talk was focused at players in the institute’s high-performance football program.

Booth spoke about his career experience, the highlights and the struggles and what he learnt along the way.

He also offered the players some advice for their own journey to the professional ranks, like the importance of developing habits and character traits, such as arriving on time, perseverance, determination, looking the coach in the eye when he’s speaking, attitude and taking instructions well.

Booth represented South Africa 37 times.

He played for Mamelodi Sundowns, Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town.

Booth also played soccer in Russia for six years.
