Putfontein SAPS initiates conversation among women to end GBV

Lt-Col Wellington Mathiane applauded officers for their contribution to fight gender-based violence.

Putfontein SAPS female officers held a gender-based violence awareness picnic recently at the police station to encourage women to speak out against abuse.

Attendees had a heart-to-heart conversation designed to empower and motivate.

A candlelight session was also observed in remembrance of victims who have died as a result of violence.

Putfontein SAPS station commander Lt-Col Wellington Mathiane thanked officers for their efforts in ending the scourge of women abuse.
