Sibikwa’s young talents showcased
In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Soweto Uprising, the Sibikwa Arts Centre provided a showcase of artistic talent when they hosted their Saturday Arts Academy mid-year concert.
The concert was held at the O R Tambo Precinct, on June 16.
The event, which is staged annually, allows pupils to showcase what they have learned in the first half of their one-year course.
On the day, various musical items were presented, as well as poetry, dance, drama and story telling sessions.
Parents got to enjoy the shows while picnicking.
The centre provides the youth with an opportunity to learn different artistic skills.
