Elderly spoiled at Old Bens

The annual Christmas in July party, organised by Care and Share, saw residents from several old age homes across Benoni enjoying a day of food, refreshments and entertainment, as well as a few presents.

Audrey Todd-Venter the event co-ordinator, said the day represents Care and Share’s Mandela Day contribution to Benoni.

Performers from Angie’s Dance Studio entertained the guests.

Youngsters from the Church Without Walls and Benoni High School helped out as volunteers on the day.

Jaryd Buchler (Mr Benoni) and Victoria Welthagen (Miss Benoni) were also present.
