The event started with prayers for the horrific incidents happening in Daveyton and for former statesman Nelson Mandela.
A total of six staff members received awards for excellence in their respective categories, and others for long service.
Branch manager Themba Njokwe said the main aim was to motivate and acknowledge employees.
“As people we are quick to complain when things don’t go right, but we never complement when they go right,” said Njokwe.
He advised employees to get out of their comfort zones and groom themselves to achieve bigger things in life.
Spokesman Melusi Fuphe said the Post Office acknowledged the work done by Njokwe.
