LM Avenue rocks Mandela Day
LM Avenue and Rock Da $hades, two youth organisations from Daveyton, came together on July 20, to celebrate Mandela Day.
They conducted a collection drive, collecting clothing, blankets, curtains and groceries for the two homes they adopted — Badanisele Home of Safety and Ikhaya Lothanda Care Centre.
This past Saturday, together with the East Icon Bikers, LM Avenue and Rock Da $hades delivered goodies to the homes, spent the day with the little ones and planted the vegetable garden.
They were joined by community members and organisations such as the Mabogaone Trust, Rainbow Foundation and Capi Lux Electronics, who also contributed to making the day a success and to bringing joy to the lives of those who do not have much.
