Time to start talking about love and sex
Nomonde Jafda, a 54-year-old woman, is the proud author of the first book written and launched in Wattville.

Her book, “A casual and frank talk about love and sex”, was launched on Saturday, June 13, at the Wattville Day Care Centre.
Local parents and youngsters were invited to the function, as Jafda believes that it is important for children to be educated about this topic at a young age.
“I am also hoping that this event will motivate young people to read more books and encourage them to write their own if they have a story to tell,” she added.
“Sex has become a game amongst our children; that is why I wrote this book.”
Her initiative to “commit to sam (sex after marriage)” was emphasized throughout the event and supported by Biblical references.
She expressed the thought that this book does not hold all the answers, but that it will be the beginning of a comfortable dialogue about this sensitive subject.
“It is about time that our children are not left alone,” she said.
Storyline Studio’s Lebo Kamajo, publisher of the book, said that it was a pleasure to work with Jafda.
“When I read the script, I wished that these words would turn into rain and fall over everyone,” he said.
The guests were entertained with performances by pupils from Ekukhanyeni Primary School and Lesaba Primary School.
The book launch closed with socialising over refreshments.
Guests also had the opportunity to buy the book and have it signed by Jafda.
