Help with cookie project

The Harvest Care feeding scheme, situated in the Bula Monyako building, on the corner of Cranbourne Avenue and Bunyan Street, is in the process of starting a cookie project to raise funds for the average of 140 meals they provide each week -- on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings.

This initiative of the Benoni Central Methodist is also planned to create employment and promote entrepreneurship.

The organisers are appealing to the public to help them collect the apparatus and ingredients they will need.

Their necessities include baking trays, muffin pans, mixing bowls, measuring cups, a kitchen scale, a whisk, a blender, spatulas, cookie shapes and a mincer.

Ingredients that can be donated include cake flour, sugar, margarine, eggs, condensed milk, ground ginger, golden syrup, caramel essence, bicarbonate of soda, cooking spray, wax paper and cellophane.

Any of these donations will be much appreciated.
