The police received a tip-off about a house that was about to be robbed on the morning of Tuesday, August 27.
“The police went to monitor the situation and noticed two males and a female entering the premises,” said police spokesman Capt Mack Mngomezulu.
After a while two females left the premises, followed by the two males, a few minutes later.
The police gave chase and managed to arrest one man and to recover a firearm.
Mngomezulu said the other suspects disappeared and the police are looking for a man and the domestic worker.
As they were running away, they dropped a laptop and other valuable items they had stolen from the house.
The house owner was found tied up.
