Touring Benoni’s heritage sites

The Boksburg Heritage Committee will embark on a tour of old Benoni buildings on September 15.

The committee and interested members of the public will kick off the tour from Victorian fountain on Princess Avenue, and they will then proceed to the newly renovated house at corner Russel and Woburn streets.

At about 10.30am the tour group will take a break for breakfast or tea at the Lemongrass Restaurant; each person will be required to pay their own way.

After the break, the tour will continue through Western Extension to find all the historical houses.

Interested community members are encouraged to bring a pen, paper, a clipboard and money for tea.
