Health is beauty
As many others who are constantly rushing around in the buzz of our modern-civilisation, I am not always monitor- and maintaining my wellness as much as I should, and also never truly realised the importance of relaxing until now.
My colleague, Eve Davis and I, recently visited the Benoni branch of SOQI Rynfield Wellness Centre where we were introduced to a few new methods of enhancing health and beauty naturally.
The day’s treatments were set in action with a Meridian Energy Analysis Device (Mead analysis).
During this consultation owner of the branch and dietician, Johannita Cox, tested my body’s 12 main organs to establish any unbalances and health risks in my body.
She did so by stimulating the meridian points with a device that supplies micro electrical impulses and captures the results on a computer system, which were neatly displayed in a chart and thoroughly explained by her.
To this she then advised what the causes to these deficiencies might be, and advised how they can be approached.
I was both impressed at the accuracy of the test and harshly awakened by the result of my bad eating patterns.
The next treatment we underwent was one of the best treats I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
This was the Far Infrared Sauna Dome on which we were invited to lie down on and relax.
Three domes were then enclosed over our bodies, which Cox explained generates far infrared rays, which you feel as gently penetrating heat.
This stimulates blood circulation by gently elevating the body’s temperature.
It can be used as a means of healing chronic health problems as it builds, cleanses and renews cells, but can also be done so just to relax.
After 15 minutes of lying under the dome, a Chi machine on which my ankles were placed, by Traci Rabe when I laid down, was turned on.
Cox explained that the machine enables the body to gently move from side to side, aligning the spine and increasing blood circulation.
“It mimics the movement of a goldfish,” she said.
This maximises the body’s natural absorption of oxygen and felt really relaxing, so much so that I had to resist falling asleep.
Cox added that fifteen minutes on the Chi machine equals an hour and a half of walking.
“The Chi treatment is so relaxing that you can feel yourself dozing off,” said Davis.
After Rabe had me drink water, the experience was enclosed perfectly with a luxurious facial performed by beautician Bernice van Loggerenberg.
During the session she placed an E-power belt which supplies negative potential energy, which counteracts all the harmful energies that we are exposed to daily.
Van Loggerenberg washed my face with an omega herbal face wash and then sprayed liquid enzymes onto my skin.
She also applied oxygen drops onto my skin and then began a treatment, using an E-pen.
She described this treatment as a face-lift without botox.
“The e-pen reduces wrinkles, pigmentation spots and acne,” she added.
With the pen she made 12 motions on each side of my face, repeating each motion six times.
After this she massaged my face, applied a face mask, and then let it rest on my skin while I underwent another relaxing session under the Far Infrared Sauna Dome and the Chi machine.
Lastly she applied basix moisturiser, which made my skin feel baby soft.
I left feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and motivated to change my eating habits.
“Johannita and her staff are so very passionate and professional,” said Davis after the treatments.
“The analysis treatment has made me more aware of ongoing medical problems and the report was very accurate.”
All in all it was a lovely experience.
The centre is a relaxing, harmonious place, with everything from the music, to the beautiful décor, to the friendly staff adding to it.
Before popping pills when my system feels down again, I’ll rather come for a natural session under the dome.
The centre is situated on 12 Seventh Avenue, Northmead. TB
