Cast your vote for your favourite June bride

The Benoni City Times is hosting its Bride of the Year competition, in conjunction with Pick n Pay Brentwood Park.

Benoni brides who were married in June submitted their wedding pictures to the City Times and readers now have the opportunity to vote for their favourite one.

The winning bride of the month will receive a shopping voucher valued at R1 000, and a R500 voucher will be given to one lucky reader who voted for her.

Readers can vote by SMSing your name and surname, followed by bctjunebride, along with the number of the bride, to 35718.

SMSes costs R1.50.

The closing date to vote is September 13, at 5pm.

Each month’s winner will go through as a contestant for the Bride of the Year competition.

The overall winner will receive a local or overseas trip for her and her husband, to the value of R25 000.

The runner up will win R10 000.

SMS votes will count 30 per cent and the other 70 per cent will be made up by a panel of judges.

July brides must enter now

Local brides who were married in July can now enter for the Bride of the Month competition.

Photographs can be emailed to tanyab@caxton.co.za with the subject “Bride of the Year”.

Only the bride must be in the photograph.

The picture must be a jpeg attachment of no less than 500KB (or bigger than 4MG).

The entries are only open for brides who got married in July.

The following details must be submitted along with the photograph: the bride’s name and maiden name, the groom’s name and surname, date and venue of wedding, current residential address and the bride’s contact details.

The monthly winner will have to provide proof of her wedding date (marriage certificate).

The closing date for June brides to enter is September 20.
