Rynfield superdog takes trophy
It has been another extremely successful year for Flint, a seven-year-old Border Collie living in Rynfield with his owner, Sue Redelinghuys.
The year started badly for him as he became extremely ill with biliary, and Redelinghuys said it was only due to the efforts of the dedicated staff at the Oakfields Veterinary Clinic that he slowly recovered.
In August, he managed to defend his National Obedience Dog of the Year title, in Bloemfontein, for the third consecutive year.
Redelinghuys explained that only dogs that have already qualified with a championship certificate can enter, so they are the top dogs and handlers from all the provinces.
He also won the Goldfields Obedience Dog of the Year title for the second year in a row.
During the year he also managed to qualify as a grand champion tracker dog and a grand champion obedience dog.
