Tents of Sharon spread Christmas cheer

Tents of Sharon welfare ministries will again host its annual Christmas lunch for pensioners and underprivileged people.

This year they are inviting the homeless from the Benoni area to join them, with the aim of giving a little more back to the community.

Pensioners and the homeless will be treated to a special lunch; a braai, with salads and dessert.

They will be entertained by famous local singer JJ Stephens and gifts will be also handed out.

The Christmas party will be held at the Mighty Men of God church, on the corner of Kimbolton and Cranbourne streets, on Saturday, December 7.

The event will commence at 11am and go on until 3pm.

Transport will not be supplied.

The organisation is in desperate need of funding or small gifts to make it a memorable day for the guests.
