Magistrate Ian Cox said the murder accused will no longer have to report to the Benoni Police Station, as was set out in his bail conditions, at his third court appearance, on November 15.
Liebenberg had been reporting to the police station three times a week since he was released on bail.
Cox amended the bail conditions, following an application by Liebenberg’s advocate, Marius van Wyngaardt.
In the application, the advocate read his client’s affidavit in support of the application to have the bail conditions relaxed.
The affidavit stated that Liebenberg was not a flight risk; he has cooperated with the investigation team since the October 31 shooting and he and his family have not been threatened, directly or indirectly.
Van Wyngaardt also revealed that his client was medically advised to take a break.
Liebenberg, who is accused of shooting dead Dewalt Visser Snr (46) and his son, Dewalt “Poenie” Visser (20), at the luxury Ebotse Golf and Country Estate, on October 31, planned a holiday to the South Coast for 15 days, a week before the December 11 court appearance.
It was revealed in court that police now have knowledge of three more bullet shells in the house where the shooting took place.
This information has been passed on to the investigators.
