Introducing new FWC Hospice Charity Shop on Pretoria Road

If you like helping those in need and want to get rid of that box of unused things, gathering dust in the garage, make a turn at the new Hospice FWC Charity Shop, that opened in November, last year.

The Community Welfare, Hospice and Development Centre (FWC) Hospice branch is a beneficiary of the shop, which is a medical centre that cares for all frail care conditions, operating from Hursthill, Johannesburg.

Frieda Smith opened the shop after her sister, Sally Steward, who has a passion for charity organisations, told her about the FWC non-profit organisation.

“With so many terminally ill, and people suffering hardship around us, not everyone can afford to contribute financially,” said Frieda.

“That is why we have decided to assist by giving Hospice FWC free shop space on our premises.”

Sally’s husband recently passed away due to blood cancer, making this cause one close to their hearts.

“All like-minded people out there who want to support this worthy cause will find it so easy; just drop off your unused, unwanted goods (books, toys, clothes, cutlery, furniture and anything else) or give us a call and we will collect,” said Frieda.

The shop is situated at 516 Pretoria Road.
